If you have the skills and money (you can get linux free, but the hwadrare is not) you can. However, most ISPs require a business access plan in order to host that much traffic. If you try it on a regular home connection (even broadband) they may throttle, limit, or completely cut off your access. So conclusion, if you have some sort of business internet connection, the time and money for a good server, and the know-how of how to run/manage it than there is nothing stopping you.

Yes, you can. You can also host the DNS servers from your home if you like. You’re going to need ptleny of bandwidth though. Standard DSL or cable will still run rather slow. If you have any questions about linux or setting up the apache webserver feel free to email me.
